Patrick Hensley
Executive Director
About Patrick:
“I saw the incredible positive impact having fun in recovery had on the guys in my sober living home and wanted more people in early recovery to get the same benefit. I created Not A Glum Lot as a vehicle to spread as much fun and excitement imaginable throughout the entire recovery community. I love helping our participants crush their initial fears that a life of sobriety would be a dull and dreary existence and instead realize the limitless potential for pure joy and excitement available to all of us! My biggest thrill is listening to the chatter that happens after our events and outings and hearing people say, “Woah man, that was an absolute blast! If this is what recovery looks like, I think I can actually do this!” That right there, is music to my ears – makes my soul smile!”

Olivia Rodriguez
Event Coordinator
About Olivia:
“My name is Olivia Rodriguez and I am on the Board of Directors with NAGL. I have just under 6 years of sobriety and have been volunteering for NAGL for about 3 years now.
This experience has been so rewarding and such an amazing organization to be apart of. Not only for my own sobriety but for newcomers whom have come and I’ve witnessed their enjoyment of the things we do here. I have learned so much about myself, business, and that IT IS possible to enjoy life without the use of alcohol and substance and this organization has 100% added to that new found belief and knowledge. “
What does the phrase, “Not a Glum Lot” mean to you?
“We do not have to suffer anymore. There is a way. Which way will you choose?”
